Panic facility on member’s mobile phone requires them to press a single number on their mobile phone and the RegAlert call centre will call back and case manage any emergency.

A solution for members of the public who are involved in a motor vehicle accident and who have a valid claim appoint attorneys to act on their behalf without paying any upfront fees.

RegAlert

Roadside Assistance The member will have access to roadside assistance and towing services in the event of an accident or breakdown of their vehicle. This would include Jump starts, Fuel Runs, Tyre. Changes, and Locksmith Services etc. These services have specific limits of cover based on the number of incidents and distance from home.

Hijack Assist

This is a 24 hour crisis management product to assist you in dealing with the consequences of a hi-jacking. We will assist with the following:

In the case of your cell phone being stolen in a hi-jacking, we will provide you with a cell phone loaded with pre-paid airtime to the value of R100

In the case of your vehicle being hi-jacked, we will provide you with Group B car hire for 48 hours

In the case of your credit card being stolen, we will provide you with a pre-loaded debit card up to the value of R500 to assist you in the interim

In the case of your keys being stolen in a hi-jacking, we will send a locksmith to your house to assist you with your locks, up to the value of R2000 per annum

In the case of you being hi-jacked at your place of residence, we will place a security guard at your house for 48 hours, up to the value of R500

Mechanical and Electrical Assist

Tow-in service to the nearest approved dealership (if under warranty), repair centre or panel beater in the event of:

Mechanical breakdown, covered up to R500

Electrical breakdown, covered up to R500

Accident damage, cost covered to the nearest approved panel beater up to a limit of R1850

Towing costs that exceed these limits is for the clients account

Tows are provided within a 40km roundtrip (calculated from tow operators base to the roadside event and from there to the dealer/panel beater/home)

For breakdowns more than 100km (towing arranged via the Call Centre), overnight accommodation for you and four passengers, covered up to R500

Map Assist

The member requires assistance in finding a location while driving. The member presses their panic button on their mobile phone and the call centre locates their position on a map and directs them to their destination.

Trip monitor

Monitor The member notifies the call centre before a significant trip is undertaken. The call centre calls the member regularly to ensure they are safe and on course. The call centre will not only respond to any panic from the member but will initiate a recovery in the event that the member cannot be contacted or does not reach their destination
